Blake's father is really nice and it often kills him that he cant be affectionate with his son. He also spoils Ancia and gives her a lot of gifts. He wants Blake to call him father but is too shy to say it.

While I was reading the novel, I thought Blake's father would have a beard, be kinda old and someone who laughs like "ho ho ho". Never expected him to be like this.
