If Cheng Ge was a normal man... this sentiment would be acceptable, but he's part of an illegal gang. He also played with fire attempting to seduce that trash. Not to mention, that kind of thinking makes our justice system superfluous.
Personally the direction of this story makes me dislike Cheng Ge. If the trash AND his (pseudo) fiance died, then I would've felt bad for the girl. Used AND then killed would've been too sad to go. Honestly I wished they introduced a competent investigator for this incident. Even Cheng Ge with his reasoning shouldn't be free from punishment.
that is true, but when someone happens to 2 of your loved ones and you know could've been preventative and the cause of their pain, you aren't really in the best mindset. your upset and you want revenge. its hard, and i think that he couldn't just sit and watch. his wife and son were almost killed. I do think that he should've told the authorities instead of bribes and almost killing them, but that trash killed so many people just to be where he is now.
cheng ge knows why his wife was in jail for too. he was framed by that trash. also he didn't really seduce the trash. the trash was seducing him. cheng ge was just trying to do business with him for some reason.
i also feel bad for the fiance. she didn't really ask for any of this to happen. but still. this isn't really cheng ge's fault.

Bruh that's the point he's a Mafia, do you expect a mafia to ask the police for help? And do everything in fair? He have been introduced as a mafia even at first part of the story so everyone should be aware of what kind of shit he have been doing, if he's just a businessman and do those things, do you think it would still be reasonable? He's not a normal civilian, do you get it?

My opinion is that Cheng knew he was attracting him and went and had dates with him and was luring him into that false sense of love. I also know what u mean about going psycho in those circumstances but I'm saying he's literally a yakuza boss (I'm kinda confused about how Xin nian knew about Cheng's kid and his "wife" cus the translation or the writing was confusing) but since he's in a dangerous world you'd think Cheng would do the typical "send men to bodyguard my woman" situation.
anyways... regardless, I kinda hope they punish Cheng for his actions. Karma, ya know? I mean, this author wants to start throwing pity parties for a trash dad with him reminiscing about his other son that he THREW AWAY. Then, they need to maintain that integrity and show some fairness by downsizing their main protagonist regardless of his position in the story.

Im just saying im anti vigilante... and this story has been sending mixed messages. Like that trash dad, who cares what you're thinking now that u threw both your sons away. And even used his oldest son's mother as he did.
