I believe they divorced so that she could succeed her brother for the next Marquis. I don't think she can take the role being already married to a Duke and being a Duchess of house Bernhardt. She divorced him to accept her brothers will of succession. Towards the end of the novel Harsen is sentenced to death (with the other rebels) after the rebellion fails. Harsen asks to see Ercella (who was in another country) as his dying wish. Harsen is sent to a land where he expects to be executed but there he finds Ercella.

Harsen didn't really die, but he was recorded dead as a traitor so he can't go back. Ercella tells Harsen that although she can't forgive him, she loves him and doesn’t want to live without him (Harsen seemed to have lived for that moment). They leave for her mothers country where she has a royal status. From Harsen's point of view, we discover he actually loved Ercella and tried to give her everything to keep her by his side.

Did he actually disowned vincent? Because I saw a lot of spoilers that he disowned his son jdiejedsnejfuj

He "disowns" his son to protect him. If he had maintained the relationship with his son and the rebellion failed, his son by association would be deemed a traitor too. He did it to protect him from possible execution if things went wrong.
