Hi all! They are NOT in highschool (Yes I'm surprised too ^^). They're in their THIRD YEAR of middle school (Age 15). It's confirmed in chapter 247 where the classmates asks Jian Yi what high school he's going to. Also [SPOILERS!!!] there was a flash -forward in one chapter where we learn that Jian Yi drops out of high school his SECOND DAY there and doesn't appear until 3 years later (when Zheng xi is already in COLLEGE) so all of these experiences are FLASHBACKS before that time. Only the SIDE ART and some of the SPECIALS are happening in the FUTURE. Everything else is showing the boys while they were in MIDDLE SCHOOL. Feel free to look this info up if you need more proof :)
I remember a while back many of us were confused cuz some times it would mention high school and another time college. So I guess cuz if that I discarded what grade they are in and going with "they are in school" thanks tho!
Yeah, it's convoluted because the first 50 chapter focus on Jian Yi and Zhang, after Yi has been gone for 3 years (dropped out of high school and suddenly left china). Now Zhang is in his first year of college and Yi has to repeat high school after missing it. After chapter 50, we are given a flashback to when the four of them were together their third year of middle school. This time period is where the bulk of the chapters take place. But the special chapters (Like Christmas and New Years, etc) all take place in the FUTURE lol Where Zhang and Jian Yi have already been reunited after the 3 years and are basically "together". So yeah, I can see why it's confusing lol
