Honestly i question it too a lot because this kind of stuff doesn't actually happen in real life unless it's related to the entertainment industry, them marrying or doing illegal stuff. but for some reason it's quite common in manhwas/manhuas where the upper class has so much privacy being released to the public
It's definitely more of a Eastern thing. As well as wealth, chaebols can be relatively famous - not as much as actual celebs but scaled down.
do conglomerates in korea get tabloid frontpages like this irl? i like the characters bc so far into the CEO ML trope he is the only one whos not pretentious, obsessive, controlling, and manipulative, not even in the slightest unlike so many others of his brethren in this trope lol. but i cant help but be confused as to how they have so much limelight. i get it if its in business news circulation since company image is crucial for stock appeals but to have them be treated like celebs and be in E! channel equivalent type of report that is just off putting for me idk just a piece of my mind. having the relationship of the be reported like keeping up with the kardashian is certainly something i havent seen before in chaebol themed manhwa
