honestly I feel like I'm the only one who interpreted the emperor's words differently when he said he would harm any woman who claimed to bear his children. This is because at the time, he was aware that our FL was bearing his child, and that she was the only 'true' one that was- everyone else was a liar. so I assumed he said that as a way to tell her that he'd harm anyone else that came forward, but it wasn't pertaining to her specifically. the thing is, she wasn't aware that the emperor already knew about the pregnancy from the dreams, so she assumed she was lumped together with the rest of them, and thus feared for her life and the child's and ran away. at least, that's how I looked at the situation when I read it, I could be dead wrong but that's fine, interpretation varies from reader to reader and that's how I choose to interpret the situation.

Dw, here I sit and think of how come ppl don’t notice that.... I agree he said it in wrong way (usual miscommunication), but I read it as he will punish anyone who will lie to him that they have his child while the one who does already right next to him (and he knows it).
Honestly I find them both stupid in usual shoujo/manhwa way, aren’t most of such stories have miscommunication for drama? The only I truly dislike from this genre is Abandoned Empress (it seems she stays with her abuser in the end?).
To sum up, I don’t hate this Emperor (there are more horrible ones), at most he said sentence wrongly which cause hyper sensitive FL to go on a run (ye, can’t say it’s completely wrong with bloody rep of ML), but idk this cat and mouse chase is tiring and that’s the children who suffer. Grab your guts woman just come and talk to him face to face, he has your children already if he wanted he would have killed them by this time.

Ya'll idk why everyone is hating on the ml the fl made a choice to have sex with him regardless and she got pregnant ok I get that it's scary to be pregnant and I get that its scary to find out that the dad is the ruler of a damn empire, but what can you do. Everyone saying he put a spell on her is just wrong he connected their dreams so they could meet since they couldn't meet in real life. Even though the ml didn't let on that he knew he treated her well when she was a knight. She obviously didn't want him to know so he followed her wishes and pretended not to know. When she finds out he knew she gets mad, like I get that its embarrassing to find out that what you did in your dreams are real but running away is really immature and I still don't understand why she hates him, Its not like he raped her or made her fall in love with him. she also had no rights to take his kids away from him and then LIE to them that he was this evil mean person when he was nothing but good to her. SHE made the decision to have sex with him and HE made the decision to have sex with her.
