Beside FL father is his savior. And ML after he was back he immediately fight for the throne with his step brother. So those five fiancee is needed so that he can get the throne. Remember that he will forever be a crown prince if he didn't get marry. So their meeting are one hell of an encounter. Tbh if FL didn't use Arthur's sword style at the forest Im sure ML would not look after her. I thought it was more of a "If a woman is found to be pretending to be a man, it's treason" kind of thing. The whole reason she even disguises herself as male is because unwed women in this setting aren't allowed to inherit. (As in thier husbandos can). Women are blocked from all sorts of paths too. Like how a woman can't be a knight, ect. Hence this whole 'out' of a twin brother her father created for her.
