Its not foreplay that needs to be thought thoroughly though. Its what leads up to such as being tied up, blindfolded, and other acts of BDSM. Safe words and boundaries need to be established. Before engaging into BDSM you need to learn the safety and risk of the act, such as breath play. As you mention having a dildo shove up his ass can be dangerous if he is not prepared right. Overstimulation is also dangerous to the person. He didn't refuse but his feelings still matter after.

BDSM can easily be unsafe, and you should never leave your partner alone with a ball gag. It is very easy to choke on your own drool if your head is leaned back or to have a hard time breathing. When leaving your partner alone tied up and blindfolded, you need a way to communicate with them in the event they need to say the safe word and stop, especially when a dildo is up their ass. When you’re tied up you’re unable to take the dildo out if it becomes uncomfortable if it goes into an uncomfortable position. Just be safe and treat your partners with respect.

The author is clearly aware that the relationship is unhealthy and toxic. We’re not criticizing the story or the authoe, we’re criticizing the actions the character made which is completely normal. That’s why the characters get character development. We watch them and their relationship improve and get healthier and more stable over time. The author most likely has plans where Taehean realizes what he is doing now is wrong and makes up for it because he really is treating Yeonwu like shit rn and looking down on him (although Yeonwu did kiss him in his sleep and try to grind on him without consent). It’s similar to BJ Alex in a way. Until then we discuss it and comment on it. Also Yeonwu was panicking over how he wasn’t sure if Taehwan would come back and was saying he wanted to stop. That only changed after Taehwan came back. His feelings are still valid and the situation still could have been done more safely. The beginning even had a warning about unsafe and improper BDSM play.
i get that we all love taehwan to some degree but... that was just incredibly stupid of him, not to mention unsafe. if you’re gonna engage in bdsm you have to think of everything throughly, and things like this just shouldn’t happen. they should’ve had a signal for when yeonwu’s had enough, at least. i’m just waiting for his redeeming arc or at least his whole past at this point
