i'm also very confused but i guess he is the same with the demon or at least the same soul??? but he hasnt fully awaken yet. idk about the beef between the demon and the deity. the mc and the male lead seems to know each other well in their previous life but since the deity sealed some of his memories off he cant remember... since he is slowly rememberly something here and there from time to time so many he could recover his memories someday???
