it wasnt his idea it was rose's. and if im not mistaken he didnt really agree to it at first but went with it along the way cause he was so blinded by rose.
he definitely will bestie. personally i love his dynamic with patrizia. they become a really cute couple. cause i've never read about a male lead actually WORKING to make up for his mistakes. he owns up to them and doesnt make excuses and i find that admirable. he does alot of things for patrizia to prove his sincerity because patrizia wouldnt settle for any less as the queen should
