I see a lot of people saying the duke isn't to be blamed for his actions,... he neglected her and acted cold towards her for 10 years dudes, he is to be blamed for his actions, I dont feel like giving someone who didnt even try the benefit of the doubt. He literally handed her them papers signed then was shocked when she did? He never ever listened to her during the 10 years smh. He knew from when she got sick that something but weird but did nothing other than give her curtains.
I hope she falls in love with the other guy and lives happy, and the duke finds and falls in love with another lady.
