Actually the prince treats her the best from the start (from what i have read in spoilers) and his super cautious and murderous attitude is quite understandable since he is always in risk of assassination from a young age and any one would be on edge if they lived like that.
We are going to get to his good parts soon.
He actually treated MC the best and with respect compared to everyone. He never doubted her too (first meeting was an exemption). The first meeting turned out like that cuz he really thought MC was an assassin. Anyways, you'll gonna love him later too.
