I agree. Everything he’s done since he turned back time has been to make up for his neglect. Also, he gave up part of his soul to do it. Exactly how much more can anyone expect from him.

This is about poor Lizzie getting another chance to be happy. Too many of you are stuck on the Emperor not receiving any kind of punishment for his prior neglect when He has to be the one to instigate the changes. We already saw what the adults in their previous lives allowed. Leon has to be the driving force in changing the future. Not his future, but hers. This isn't about him, it's about her. That's why his wish wouldn't be granted originally, but he was allowed the opportunity to try to save her from such a wretched fate
