I think I quite get an idea why Uncle Shen was so grumpy and reserved, based on the raws it seems like he's thinking it was his fault why Fu Xufei(his crush and Fu's real dad) got into the accident during the race as it looks like he's the last person to check the car's engine before the race starts... but the accident was not actually an engine error as mention in the previous chapters. Eventually he finally moved on from that trauma(?)
