Not really, at least he acknowledged that he loved his family more then work and that he made a bad mistake. If he didn’t then he was clearly a terrible father.
A father who works for their family doesn’t make them bad just because they didn’t spend enough time, if he loves them that much to work somewhere dangerous then he’s an amazing father
I feel he's not exactly bad but there were other options. Especially since he has limited time to live, instead of trying to fix his so called mistake by doing what he did, he could've actually just spent a bit more time w her instead of going overseas cuz technically at the end of the day it's still considered work over family no matter the reason except for special circumstances; based on what he did.
I understand what you mean, but I’m sure that he wouldn’t go overseas to work unless he had no other options because he did have a family.
He did pick work over family, definitely. However, I don’t think that’s a good enough reason to doubt his abilities as a good dad as he was working for his family.
