agreed. I love this story but season is a lot more messy. season 1 had a main focus and build up towards one story goal. the 2nd season is trying so many things at once it's confusing.. still enjoyable but
I do think Shin loves wolf gang though. I think he has a LOT of insecurities and conflicting beliefs which is why it's so hard for him to embrace those feelings
I think Shin thinks Wolfgang deserves someone better as Empress. so that's where the conflict is coming from
Like I get that that is kinda part of the point of manga but like... the level of repression Shin has is....incredible to say the least
I think at this point it focus on their relationship and the trillion things that will get in the way of it
Look hear me out... I am not saying that I don't love this manga and don't adore everyone in there but.. What is the story trying to be? I would love to believe that Shin actually love Wolfgang but I just don't get that vibe enough, which is making me really uncomfortable? Also... At this point we have so many side characters that I am getting lost (not you Gareth we are all thrilled to have you here) but like.. The winter crew - sometimes they come sometimes they fuck off to their castle.. Sometimes the magician has the last word sometimes he not there.. The importance of characters is all over the place for me.. Sometimes the importance is placed on Wolfgang on marrying somebody that it is abandoned for numerous episodes etc. Like...make me understand
