most east asians eat with gloves when they have to hold or mix something with their hands like eating chicken....and thats actually rly good, hygiene aside, IT means ur hands dont have to be oily and greasy and they dont get in ur nails and u dont have to wash hands like a BILLION TIMES.
Also if i'm not wrong in korea it seemed something common to use gloves to deshell shellfish or mix some type of vegetable kimchi, even to eat chicken
