I agree with Yessica

He hasn’t had to compete with anyone, his godfather (and Uncle) is the King, His parents are powerful, and he hasn’t had to really face any hardships. I think it’s ironic how she’s the one that thinks it tho because taking her in and not telling his parents or the king is incredibly irresponsible and can put the whole kingdom in danger of going to war AGAIN; and it’s not even something that crossed his mind. I wonder if that’s gonna come back to bite him, does anyone have spoilers?
Ps.
I know that she needs a safe place to go but he is supposed to start thinking like a king and that includes putting his kingdom first. I hope everything works out tho

This is some sort of like Helen of Troy all over again.

Well they're both acting like she's not a runaway royalty, but just a boy he picked up as a servant... that's the truth unless proven otherwise. If Yessica's identity gets compromised, he might deal with the problem there and then.

In a way, it still shows how young and naive he is. He gets his priorities mixed up because he has feelings for her.

Although, from what it looks like, he might encounter a huge challenge soon --- the other nobles look shady af. So it might bite him sooner than we expect? LOL
