I actually agree to this... Roxana and her brother had that bond that no one in the family had. SO i guess there are other siblings who crave for the kind of familial intimacy. (e.g. DION)
100%. like roxana and her brother had like a "pure love" for each other. and by that i mean it was a relationship where the affection was 100% reciprocated and they had each other's backs no matter what. roxana had someone who actively loved her and tried to protect her. dion never had that. the agrich family has literally been described as a "survival of the fittest" and in a situation like that it's rare to have someone by your side like her brother was with her. dion probably wanted that and STILL wants that which is why he's willing to follow roxana's orders.

but the manhwa clarifies that his intentions towards are anything but sexual (esp in this last chapter, ch 29). if it is sexual in the novel that's so fucking weird and i'm glad they aren't doing that in the manhwa

She says, "If what you wanted from me was to simply relieve your sexual desire." Fontaine, just wants sex but Dion wants "love". But it is incestuous all the way around. Chapter 27 was definitely sexual in context between Dion and Roxanna.

i always figured the close contact was a way to symbolize how roxana knows dion wants her to be as close to him as she was with her brother but isn't. i mean in her dreams she's also pretty affectionate with her brother like putting their foreheads together.

also i don't think her relationship with dion has any sexual/romantic undertones. i think it's more of dion never having someone to love him like roxanna loved her brother. instead of her transferring those familial feelings of affection to him when her brother died, she hates him which is why he pays so much attention to her.
i think he wants her to love him like she loved her brother. he doesn't have anyone (who understands him as well as she does) in their family. i think it's a "we are fucked up in the same way because of our family and we have been told family is everything so why do you despise me? you are the only person who understands me. and i am the only person who understands you."
