So apparently, from the start to end, everything was part of FL father's scheme, no wait not father, I mean son of a bitch. Since the wedding arrangement, that mf threatened ML to marry FL but to also neglect her, ML refused, then his vassals that supports him to be the duke die one by one, he eventually agreed.
There was also the time when the pregnancy was announced, ML was still at war and that mf did everything to make ML stay at war and not go back, he also threatened to kill FL and unborn Elle if he went back
Plus, it turns out ML didn't even now that FL was confined for 6 years and is already dying, by the time he got back, FL was already bout to die. Turns out, ML ordered the servants to take care of FL while he's going to war. He also intended to only take Elle for a moment, but the war came, so he gotta go. THEN that mf son of a bitch father shitheads brought the ex-fiance to the house and confined her.
One thing tho, so apparently Elle in the past life found out that FL was actually his mom and that she's been confined and neglected till her death. He got so angry that he confined ML in the same room that FL was confined in.

Okay if everythings Her fathers fault then why is the ml treating her differently now? So what? Now the ml doesn’t care about what happens to his vassals his supporters? If then why is the situation so different now? He cares more and attends things which concerns her like the birth of their child which he didn’t before? I really don’t give a fuck if he was nice at the start cuz listen in the end what did he do they married he just went to another house in the capital and left her alone then we find out she’s pregnant he comes back to hear the news and he leaves her to deal with the pregnancy alone not only was she suffering with mistreatment at the duchy house her child the only thing she cared for at the time got taken away and she begged and made a commotion for her to be in her own child’s life.the duke cheated on her and brought a mistress and the rest of her life was her just suffering alone with depression missing her child and then she fucking died and her wish to the duke was the privilege to see her OWN child...I really don’t see any redeeming qualities in the duke that fucker literally ruined her already ruined life knowing very well what a shitty life she probably had and that’s saying sth! But dude the sprite and Ell are so cute!!!!!
