gotta love athy fans they act indignant even when the character themselves admits they were arong.

She was trying to survive, so her actions were completely valid. She's made up her mind to save her family even if it means her own death, so it makes sense now that she would tell this stuff to Jennette, but her guilt doesn't mean her actions weren't justified. Jennette was being a self-centered brat the entire time and didn't even bother considering that Athy may have had actual reasons, choosing not to trust athy and feeling sorry for herself.

she didn't just assume. she did inquire about it first (doubting what she heard) and then athy closed up to her, which only made jenntte more anxious, she's only human. they both are at fault for the misunderstanding piling up from not being straightforward. they are friends, honesty is essential in any relationship. athy herself admitted most of her "reasons" were more just excuses to shut out jennette, we already know athy is guarded around people, but its still something she needs to work on if she wants to keep the people she cares about close to her. neither one of them are wrong, just flawed.
