Yeah he knew, hence Juho and him made the memory box, but just in case I guess he made a memory box for himself, too, and sent it to himself.

yes, and he tried to avoid it but bad luck keep happening to him so he decided to loose his memories instead of him and juno suffering for their future just because they’re avoiding the car crash incident to happen.
