Wait so I'm a bit confused. Maybe it was better explained in the novel but how exactly is she "cursed"? Her mother jumped out of the carriage to protect her brother so wouldn't it make more sense for the father to assume that the brother was "cursed"? Is it because she was the only one who wasn't injured that day? I just feel like the father's logic doesn't really make much sense in this case...
