I still don't think Agia genuinely loves Ken yet. I think he's acting out of this strong sense of duty and the prophecy (even in the first few chapters when he didn't know Ken like at all he was like "you gotta love me", this is nothing more than his goal), he has a rep for being ruthless and thorough to the point that he's almost non-human himself. He might feel a tad bit possessive (it's a generic "seme characteristic" too) but the anger also stems from his deep-rooted hatred for vampires. So atm both Ken and the geezer vampire seem super self-absorbed and in our world almost every single sexual encounter would be sexual assault but in their world when Agia has to have sex to save him to what extent do the first encounters qualify as assault/rape? I can't even believe I'm asking. The lines seem quite blurred to me but yes most of the interactions were non-con and Ken seems to not have much of an agency at the beginning as this bizarre man is "saving his life" through means he hates.

I think bl authors also really like to write the seme as being rather forceful even when there's the option of not writing them as sociopaths or as unhinged. I almost felt many times this author was close to subverting this overdone bl trope but it missed the mark for me. For example, in the past few chapters there was a tug of war going on in the bedroom and it looked for once the uke was talking sense into the seme and telling him - NO, he doesn't want to do it and the medical excuse doesn't apply this time either. Seme almost complies and after actually bothering to explain what's going on in his life he abruptly insists that sex is the way and of course they end up having intercourse. Ofc uke passes out just as expected and seme still wants to go. I was pleasantly surprised by some rare, rational communication between the characters but it just has to end up going the seme's way ╮(￣▽￣)╭
