Sadly he probably already went to heaven. You can tell because the moment someone died they were all greeted by their family and loved ones. Gugu and March realized something was wrong with this though and therefore were waiting for Fushi but the boy was satisfied and went along with his loved ones. Aka, he isnt there anymoreand went to heaven. I think this was purposely done to make the boys body feel more like fushis true human form. He said himself that it feels the most like "himself"
