another lie that's been disputed so many times. Japan's age of consent is determined by the individual prefectures with 13 years old being the lowest cut off recommended by the central government. Most prefectures have age of consent set at 17-18 years.
also laws do not determine morality. There are countries that have laws that discriminate against and imprisons LGBTQ+ people. I doubt a sane person would agree that's okay because it's part of the law. A grown adult having sex with children is immoral, no matter what laws a country has.
