I read some spoilers and this is it:
So...yeah, just to clarify who is the ML, it is actually the Crown Prince. I don't know what to feel bout that. And the Crown Prince DID TRULY LOVE the FL however he can't show it because he wanted to protect her from those people who wanted to hurt the royal family or somethin' similar to that, that's why he purposely said hurtful words and did hurtful things to her, he was a truly convincing actor.
Also, about the REAL VeronicaBitch who killed her and took her place, the Crown Prince- Emperor at that time, realized that she was not the FL so he killed her and her family,
Lastly, about her son, the emperor raised him alone while regretting and hurting about what happened to the FL.
So yeah, that's what happened according to the spoiler that I read.
