Jeez can't this masterpiece have a decent ending

Someone or something coming between shin and Wolfgang they are a couple but it's so insecured every damn time either wolflang getting a wife or shin getting this marriage proposal from a 6 year old .

But As characters who thinks of the country and it’s people first, it’s natural to have these kinds of internal conflicts between state and lover. Especially when it refers to lineage (though tbh he shouldn’t worry about that because he has so many siblings that can take over if he ever dies)...honestly Wolfgang is king and he should have declared homosexual relationships as something not to be looked down upon and completely legal. If they were to have the need to reproduce, they’d have to dutifully take in a concubine..or something like that idk. But Wolfgang could have definitely used his power to tie shin to him in the romantic way he desired by now. It’s just what the author decided the two have to go through in order to realize how to handle their situation and their feeling about each other and the country they’re responsible for and find the balance.

However, you were emphasizing on the pedophilic aspect of it so that’s what I commented on.

I think he kinda recognizes that he gets swayed by Wolfgang but bc of his desire to put the country first and the extreme desire to see Wolfgang shine where he shines the brightest which is leading, he ends up putting Wolfgang on a pedestal and is at war with his two desires.

He’s in the process of figuring out whether it’s feasible to be able to love someone so dearly and yet run a country the way he thinks it should be run. He points out several times (and so does Wolfgang) that Wolfgang will ALWAYS put shin first. He realizes this during the arc of him being kidnapped and then went into a full blown fight right before Wolfgang leaves to get the cure. He’s risking his life for shin when in shin’s eyes he should be thinking about the people and can’t lose his life Willy billy just for one person. You get me?

And shin would give up HIS life to ensure Wolfgang can stay in that glorified position where shin believes he belongs. That’s why he let himself get kidnapped and also why he was vehemently arguing with Wolfgang that it should be him that travels through those dangerous badlands

So in this point in time, shin desire to keep Wolfgang as king and do everything in his power to help him overrides his desire to be with him just as a human being. Just to cherish and love.

Like I said it would have been simple if Wolfgang officially married shin and legally made him empress. Then just used a concubine to give birth to their heir (which tbh there’s not shortage of heirs bc he has so many subs)

this is all well and good, but forcing him to get married and have a wife will not fix Wolf wanting to protect and be with Shin XD and Wolf most of the chance will never change. so the whole is pointless, for the kingdom and for Wolf sake. it just won't change shit and only make Wolf miserable.
and the kingdom can get better even without Wolf having a shitty wife, trust me. they don't need a hair right now, even if they will need one in the future, Wolf father have plenty of children to fill a small village XD they can pick one of them.

Wfgang is a king and shin is the person who wants him to be on that throne the most bc he deems Wolfgang worthy of it. Hence the conflict and friction that occurs within shin regarding his feelings and duty to the country. You get it?
