It actually shows like a flashback in the first timeline and elle is all grown up and he find's out that his mother was killed by the lady that raised him and that the his mother had dies in an isolated mansion all by herself and he's really angry at his father for treating his mother like that. He actually locks the father up in the same mansion because he want's the father to feel what his mother felt like dying in that place all alone. When the father enters the place he actually see's the mother sitting on a sofa with her legs to her chest in black clothing on (she is dead, i think they say this is like the mansion's memories or sad past or something) he goes and sits next her and just closes his eyes or something.
The father is a really scumbag he asked him to marry the daughter but he told the ML to not to fall in love with her. I honestly think the father is so immature and childish. If your daughter SAW her mother die he should have tried to comfort her not blame it all on her he has no right to be a father man. ugh he's just so stupid in my point of view.
