So ya gay bitch here was scrolling through novel spoilers tryna ease my heart so I could accept it if this guy ends up being the ML cus he is hot but he seemed trashy and the tea I acquired was exquisite so here so go
SPOILERS
So the tea is ML grew up under constant threat of being murdered by the old duchess cus he was a mistresses child, he grew up was temporarily engaged to black hair snake for benefits, and was later forced into a marriage with our MC by MCs dad, dad made it so that the Duke basically had no support to force him into the marriage just so he could force the ML to be cold to MC which he did unwillingly, they're together for a while, then war breaks out and ML is forced to the front lines, while there he learns of her pregnancy and is hyped but worried as hell, when he thinks of going to see her MCs dad threatens him saying he'll have MC and her unborn son killed if he goes. While he's at war he learns that MCs dad arranged for the snake bitch to be the MCs maid, he does do everything so that mc and bitch don't meet but bitch ends up getting close to the son. He finally comes back to the war to find his son attached to the bitch and when he goes to find his wife she's dying. After she dies, at the funeral MCs dad pulls up and duke pissed off asks if he's happy now which he responds to with "now that the curse has been broken I feel calm" anyway since the son is OP the emperor kinda forced the son into confinement in the duchesses room and el ends up using the spirits to see how his mom lived, angered when he realized how horribly the mom lived and died he goes and roasts the fuck out of the dad about how shitty he is for letting him be close to snake bitch which ends with him imprisoning the Duke in the duchesses room. While there the Duke also watched how the mc lived and basically breaks. Apparently shit gets so bad the Duke at one point is eating grass cus he's starving. Anyway I think El turns back time to before this shitshow went down and I think both he and his dad kept their memories though I'm not 100% sure, they both had regrets so I think they either worked together to do it or only one of them did.
