"Empty Men" are basically Omegas who produce superior progeny. Their kids are more likely to me awakened (which is similar to being an alpha instead of a beta) the blond one is in love with the former guard and basically roofied both of them to sleep with him. After they slept together he wanted to be in a relationship guard said no and requested a transfer. Looks like older brother black listed the guard and erased his brother's memory of him somehow.
