I looked it up it's called He Gu (LI4) and is a form of acupressure. Quote from the article.
"He Gu is a point on the hand, between the thumb and index finger, that corresponds to the large intestine.
Acupressure practitioners suggest that pressing this area may help with nausea due to headaches, digestion problems, and general pain."
Does that thing really work for digestion?
