I just wanted to point out that lack of r4pe and sexual harassment in this manhwa, which is honestly is refreshing to see in an omegaverse.
Maybe I'm going to far with parallelisms but, hear me out. Omegas, since the beginning of the genre have been relegated to femenine, submissive and woman-like roles, like the caregiver, the seductive or the sensible one; especially during the heat process, where basically are exposed to be r4ped or abused my alphas. Not to mention that if the r4pe takes place, they are usually the ones that receive the blame because they provoke the alpha, seems kinda the real world, right? Alphas on the other hand represent masculinity, leadership and virility; attributes usually associated to males. In a traditional omegaverse scenario, alphas uphold a dominant role in the society while omegas are basically oppressed by them. In common omegaverse, situations of sexual abuse happen because the ones who perpetuate it are physically more strong, and actively use all the power that this society has given to them; which means there is a big power imbalance between both parties.
But this manhwa is different, here "man-ish" behaviors are given to the caregivers, the child-bearers, and to the empaths. Of course they adopt another personality by becoming quite cold hearted; but as we can see, sex related assault has decreased significantly compared to other traditional omegaverse manhwas. This is basically a whole scenario of 'what if the ones who uphold power could get pregnant', and this is beautifully well done.
I'd love to add more, but I don't wanna make this comment to long. Sorry if you read all my ramblings lol
I totally agree and that the reason I don't like/read omegaverse. This is the only one and I'm glad that I didn't skip it because it mark as omegaverse.
I will have to disagree. It's the same shitty hierarchial system with one being at the bottom of the chain and the other being at the top. There isn’t nothing different about that.
