Definitely time travel otherwise it can’t explain the fact that he knows how to read and use a knife, and aware of which assassin it is
I think that this is Luka's 3rd time around. Or maybe even 2nd time, because i think he met his NEW aunt in his past life and brought her along so she doesnt get assassinated again.
genuine theory so i feel like luka turned back time cause like he had nothing anymore so he went back time and stuff then when went back time his aunt suddenly became nice to him and since he was deprived of affection he got attached to her but is still cautious of her that's why he brought her with him with his uncle (cause before she was used to torment luka's life and he does not want that also she was going to die and he does not want that as well)
