Well actually I understand your point and I wish that she could do that: ignoring her father and going away with the ML but beside this, the civilization is terrified by all those "monsters" and I don't think she is gonna let all those innocent people die just because she want to takw her revenge

I get your point, here's my opinion (I apologise if this is incorrect + pls challenge my opinion if possible): Ludis can quite literally do whatever she wants in her scenario because she has Lavane's favour, including helping the citizens of the Empire (through the temple, gather powerful people etc...whatever) - she doesn't have to compromise with the Emperor when he was brought powerless by Lavane and now has his position severely undermined. Ludis trying to compromise with the Emperor is stupid because in this situation she will gain practically nothing from the Emperor, whereas he needs her the most to keep his position as Emperor.

Well actually you are right, she could totally do that and this would be beneficial for bother her and Lavane and the citizen : she would save everyone and gain all the recognition she and Lavabe deserves.
