ML's mom actually died because the emperor poisoned her, not because she was sick. ML found out right before his coronation as crown prince, got pissed off and poisoned his dad and became the emperor himself. The very first chapter which shows Tia and Perez as adults is actually them heading to his coronation as emperor.
2. Tia didn't actually return to the past. At the beginning of the story, if you remember that Tia was reading a book about a southern tribe, her mother is actually a member of that very tribe. All of the members of the said tribe have magical powers. Tia's grandma could see sparse bit of past and future, Tia's mom could see the future and since Tia is only a half, her powers are weak but she can see a possible future in her dreams. So in reality, her dad dying, Lombardy family getting executed all of this was actually a possible future that might've occured if the older brother of Gallahan became the head and Tia saw it in her dreams.

However, Estira and Florentia will save him using a plant that Perez gifted Florentia (awwh). Later on, Gallahan actually becomes one of the richest men in the Empire and is given a noble title and territory of his own for his contributions to the empire through his business. He never remarries though.
