No, that was the aunt who just passed away. He basically got into the relationship in the first place because he made a promise to his aunt who was dying, and the aunt made that promise again with the FL as well not to leave him alone, which she threw at him in a bold last attempt to hold onto him. I think he's just petrified of losing her next because everyone he loves ends up leaving him in some way. Plus, he does NOT think she loves him, and she's too scared to be honest just yet.

Guys have you seen the latest raws? His aunt passed away, so he's going to divorce her. It's clear both are in love with each other, and neither will admit it. There was her chance, and she didn't do it. She tried to say his aunt didn't want the FL leave the ML alone instead as a promise to her, and he took it as he was just an obligation which again he's a mess. Here comes the angst and pain...
