Im from Brazil and I call them by their names or just mom and dad
I call them mom/mother and dad/father, I don't call them by their names cuz its kinda disrespectful to them ( at least in my family) ヽ（´ー｀）┌
I live in america and my parents are called mom and dad only. It's not just you lol
no we don’t . you only see it when the child and parent have a bad relationship & even still it’s pretty rare

I call them by their names when I’m joking or like “mad” at them (not really mad, I just scold them as a joke) but I’ve seen a lot of families here that have to call them sir and ma’am
