I mean yeah she is going through a lot of shits but come on that man was only 19 when he became a duke he gone to a fucking war 18-19 years old, everyone was after his head bcz he was very young. I think people are acting like he is an asshole but everyone has feelings. He got hurt too he loved her first but she didn't and he did believe he was the only one felt like this. There is zero communication that's the problem. They're not open about their feelings (I mean who doesn't do that). But what is making me angry that both of them was struggling with their problems they forget the child. I mean fucking child.
Yes they become parents very young but for fucks sake they were adults. He was a child. He didn't deserve that. And story is focusing on FL drama. I think we should focus more to her relationship with his son. Just bcz she said nice thing didn't make thing okay
There is trauma.

No one is saying that lmao, people recognize that she was depressed and neglected as well that they understood her actions. And the Duke doesn't really have an excuse except for being emotionally stunted. Idk if you've read ahead but you can clearly see that no only him who gaslights and treat her incapable but also his people.

Ummm sorry he fucking gone to war. WAR. Everyone in her family tried to kill her for his title because he was very young. He is being rejected from her loved one over and over again by being her "best choice". Are we really reading same story? He doesn't have an excuse but she does? Wtf. He tried to help her before going to war she didn't tell her the reason but he was there she rejected him. What are you guys expecting from him mind reading? What could anybody do when they don't know what's wrong? Communication. He fucking refused princess's proposal and punished by going to war. And what does she say "why did you leave me alone and gone ro war" "I hate you" come on guys let's not forget this she said this thing but he doesn't have an excuse? "have you ever tried to understand me" big words did she ever tried to understand him? Who hurted who more? She acted selfish she never think about other's feeling and had the heart to say "you don't understand me I'm hurt". Baby where were your understandment while your child was alone. Oh god fuck me. I hate this comment section husband bad why? He left her? War. He said when did you act like a mother?. Is he wrong. And how is she better. Even thought she said she liked her she said "a loveless marriage". Oh but man's doesn't have heart he can't be hurt. And about vassals she said "my opinions are always ignored when he is absant". He did prorect her he was with her. Can't he be hurt by her actions? He was pushing the child too much but at least he was n't acting like he didn't exist. Can't he hurt by his wife's acting like hating her son to death? Hypocrisy. Husband bad MC good. Fuck me.

Ahh, yes, her having depression and with her being treated as a cattle like her parents make her so selfish. He did go to war, he did try and provide and yes the mc did him wrong by saying that he was the 'best choice,' but did he actually step up as a father in the steed of his depressed wife? Do you want to know why her family doesn't like the duke? You'll know later on when he's going to let her choose between him and her family because either way he's gonna kill his brother in the name of a fruitless rebellion that can easily wipe out his entire family because of his stupidity and negligence. He killed in front of her and she has been poisoned and traumatized by that image that she's as disposable as the person that ML killed and that was his own flesh and blood. Do you remember that she's only 16 when they got married and pushed to do so? Wether you like it or not, ML is more able than the both of them, it's not like MC was going out partying, she was cooped up in her bedroom because she was depressed and have wanted to kill herself every so often because she didn't feel like she was good enough and that she's scared out of her. Yes, you're glossing over her depression and yes, we're not probably reading the same manhwa or you skipped it or whatever, she was gaslighted by him and his men and in the future chapters, she'll be treated as a damsel in distress, continuously gaslighted because she's a woman while nursing her depression and sickness. He's more capable than her, he never tried to reach out but instead enable her to continuously treat their child like shit while he's also neglecting him emotionally. So yeah, he's a bastard of a husband that after all through this bullshit, it's her who's going to pick up the mess that he got himself into.

Hope you'll have a change of heart in the future chapters when ML's gonna make her choose between him and her family but still got his brother killed, indirectly of course. And how she kept on telling him to stop but he's just bottling it to himself for go knows what when it's actually the MC who's trying to reach out, but because she's a WOMAN, he treated her like she's some dainty little stupid thing that doesn't know anything about politics BUT SHE'S THE ONE WHO ENDED UP WIPING HIS ASS. Maybe because I've already read ahead through the novel that's why I heavily sided with mc but yeah, at the end of it, all I can say to him is he's a stupid motherfucker. He has a way out of the rebellion but he was just like,' nah, I've in too deep, I'm not gonna sabotage them even though what they're doing is wrong so might as well just keep on joining them and killing nobles in the opposite site.' Yeah, he's dumb as a rock and their entire goddamn relationship when MC actually stepped up and be the one to reach out first, he gaslighted the shit out of her because she's a woman. So yeah, I'm really, really fucking biased and would not say that he was a good husband or a father. Even before or currently. It's like he can't afford to let his son know that he cared and only the time he disowned him for his own good was the dead giveaway that he might as well did. I'm not gonna sit around while you glossing over her depression and PTSD and making it seem like the ML is a hero.

Again, stop projecting your parents over them. I never compare my father's issues to others and make it comparable. Even if this is just fiction, the character are entirely different people than you parents. Since depression also run in our family, even I have an aunt who died because she overdosed from anti-psychotic drugs because she had BPD and depression. I am Bipolar, have been heavily abused since I was a kid, like it started when I was 4 years old, beating up your children is so normalized in my country that it's hard for child abuse cases to be taken seriously by authorities. So I know were you're coming from and I'm even still living with my abusive dad because my mother can't just separate from my father because he might not support my brother's schooling. We're both berated each day, even now that I'm 22, had 2 suicide attempts when I was 18 and that wasn't even caused by father but my mother who told me that if I wanted to die, I should get insured first so they can get something out of me. I can't move out of my house because it's my mother who's paying for my tuition and I have to suck it up until I graduate. So yeah, I have a sack shit of life and so are other people here but most of us actually understand where she's coming from, we're not saying she's not at fault of anything, she still is but it is understandable of what she went through. I am biased, yes because I've read ahead, I actually bought the novel but he was just not a good husband to her even when she's trying. He still acts cold even though she's trying to open up about their issues and how to resolve it. She's the one who pick herself up whenever her own husband undermine her capabilities even knowing that she was once a scholar. It's infuriating how he treats mc and only shows remorse when he knew he really fucked up but still MC loved him despite everything that he did to her and her family.

I didn't read the novel and I don't believe I will read this again. I writed my thoughts about what I read in manga. You read the novel so I could understand why you can be biased but I'm getting angry because right now there is nothing that we can say which one is bad, good but people who are like me (just read the manga and doesn't know what's gonna happen) blaming the husband. And I feel like people are going easy on her just because author is showing her side of story. If you ask me about which parent was better I could only say fuck both of them. I do not like husband I just don't understand why people hate him but loves her and says she has an excuse. I do not act like she doesn't have any mental illness, people in the comments that hates husband acts like he didn't gone throught anything and have no mental illness that's what's making me angry. Is he a bastard? In the future yes but I didn't read the novel I didn't know he was gonna be an abuser as a manga reader for know I believe I had the right to say hey yes she has problems but hmm he has too. And am I gonna continue reading? No. Maybe in the future chapters I could see her character development but I started to this manga believing to read something about wholesome mother-son relationship repair kinda plot but it seems like author didn't even put much thought in it.I didn't come here to see her to talk about her marriage. I didn't come here to see her or him having a relationship full of cracks. I just wanted a mother son relationship but they made the son character so shallow. No feeling, no grudge, no mention about his mental state, nothing just a side character for her. And could it be that I'm biased by my parents? Yeah I mean come on we're humans.Just like I said I come here for mother-son relationship not for her story I do not care about her or him I only care about child. And I don't know you guys but she can do whatever she wants but 18 years of ignoring. Ouch.

Well I'm not gonna continue reading this manga so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. I didn't know he was gonna be that asshole and this sexist wow. But like I said I don't care anybody except child it is a little bit annoying do we see his son's point of view or something? I feel like author just throw him there to simp MC that's annoys me. Hello where the feelings writer-sama? I mean if I'm not gonna see him (he is the only character that I love) there is no need to read because this shit is triggering me to hell.

And oh holy shit. Are you okay? I think we need to baptize your parents by throwing them to a river...... with stones tied to their legs.... I hope you can leave them off and live your life.
