I think... Family of Bastian Can't do that... I think they are proud family who respect the crown meaning they are loyal to the crown. If the Emperor wants them dead then he is free to do so(killing the family without fighting back)... and about the Curse... in my own understanding... I think Kael is not the one who got cursed first since it's already 200 years ago before it happened 2 generations ago(correct me if I am wrong) if the forest is your weakness... you can't like... overcome it overnight(or it may, depends on the person)... it will come with a process... He's strong in some way... But if Kael is serious... then he will be more stronger than Bastian... You will be stronger for the person you love and you need to protect... It's fine if it's long I love discussing inconsistencies of the stories so yeah but read chapter 1 again and it says the the witch cursed him when he was young because he rejected her and then he killed her, so he is the first one to have that curse. And the family may be loyal to the crown but Bestian obviously loves his family more than he does the royal family especially if his family is gonna be killed with a dumb reason and he's a brocon, he wouldn't let anyone kill Lilian. And you say he'll be stronger than Bestian if he gets serious but won't he get serious about finding out how to get rid of his curse? While Bestian conquered the forest in a few days without breaking a sweat. Anyways, he's the emperor and he grew up learning everything and isn't focused on his sword training unlike Bestian so it would make sense that Bestian is stronger.
If Bestian is that strong then wouldn't that clash with the narrative that in the original timeline the emperor annihilated the whole family after Lilian's sister killed herself? Because if he could effortlessly kill half of the monsters in the forest that are full of strong monsters then wouldn't he just defeat the whole imperial army and escape with Lilian or make himself the emperor to save Lilian and himself?
The emperor killed the witch who cursed him immediately after the curse was on him so he must be strong too so someone could argue that he must be stronger than Bestian but he's cranky and short tempered, so he would do anything to get rid of that curse so wouldn't he have tried to go to other witches to pry some information on how to get rid of the curse and he would go to that witch in that forest if he knows he can but he didn't so doesn't that mean he knows he can't get through that forest? So in conclusion, he is weaker than Bestian so my original question still stands
