it depends.
there is not much drama and mostly focuses on the fluffy relationship between father and daughter (plus ML), family and friendship. it's not action-focused. although there is romance hints everywhere, the real romance starts in the 3rd season.
Rykell is not a tsundere towards his daughter and always makes sure that his daughter is loved. we have no serious misunderstanding because usually, Rykell is pretty direct with Maybelle. As a father, he is pretty awkward at first but he warms up fast. He always thinks about Maybelle as his priority but also wants to build a better world not only for the daughter but also for everyone.
the story is mainly about Maybelle's life and turning points from being a disgrace of her family to an archmage like both of her parents.
