Man, I always reread this manhua, especially the first arc, when I want something cute and fluffy, and simple to read with not too much angst, second hand embarrassment, or drama. I definitely recommend it as someone's intro to shounen ai and yaoi (especially as it gradually eases you into the 18+ scenes with season 3.)
Idk why but the high school arc is my favorite, I wish it was a liiiittle longer. Like, not dragged on, but a few more episodes, but I think it wrapped up nicely and laid a great foundation for what's to come. I also wished some arcs were a liiittle shorter, but in hindsight after reading it all it was worth it! It probably would've been too fast otherwise.
Also the ART! It is always aesthetically pleasing. The backgrounds shaded in shades of blue while the characters are more vibrant (but still blend well) is muah! To be honest though, I liked season 1's art the most, then noticed the faces got kinda "squished" and baby-faced during the course of the s2 college/s3 arcs (I still like it though! But they looked younger than their high school selves...), but omg now it just came through for season 4 and is like season 1 but even more amazing!
For writing, it's really good. But I think people who like shorter 5-chapter yaoi may get a lil burnt out. I think I got burnt out binge reading the first 2 seasons and like half of 3 while it kept updating, and sometimes I felt like "they explored everything with this couple, what's more to add?", but then something comes and makes it interesting again. I like watching them grow up together over the seasons. I've always had an interest in manga and manhua that follows characters aging and going through more and doesn't just stop at a happy ending (or never stops and the characters are static...). From slice of life like Azumanga Daioh showing the main girls growing up, to stories like Odd Girl Out and Watamote- if I can watch them grow and learn I eat it up!
Also Seeing the evolution of haebom and his life is amazing.
10/10 would recommend.
Also, little part of me was hoping that Jia's college makeover scene for Haebom happened in high school when injae proposed to set him up with girls so he could see how it felt to be a lil popular and see Tae's reaction lol.
Warning: A sorta long, rambly review!
