Yesss!! It's honestly such a huge stigma if the man in the relationship is the "bottom" because it equates being "weak" and "fragile" because it's typically the female's role. I'm so sick of people having that mindset, and this manga brought up that subject pretty well.
Dude...technically....you are addressing a different source of issue here...the reason why the one being entered is looked down upon...does not stem from the fact that a man is "succumbing" to another man....because they are weak....buuut....because since a long long time ago man FORCED women into obedience all over the world....they were treated like rag dolls for the men to use and throw away...so everything associated to what a "human female" would stand for is looked down upon....women are looked down on, just because they have a vagina that "is meant for the pleasure of a dick".....you get it? a man can fuck as many men and women as he wants and still be respected....a woman will be called a whore if she is seen in a compromising situation with a man she is not married with and has one single enemy with a big mouth.....
that is also why heater sexual men look down on bottoms....and some petty idiotic women go along doing the same....one looks down on anything that he sees as "beneath him" and the other goes along with the mind set of "the strong ones"...
First of all, I understand your point, but you totally over-analyzed what I said. In no way did I say that a man succumbing to another man makes him weak. I explained how it's seen that way because the weaker role is seen as the female, to which you further elaborate how it stems from oppression of women--basically my point. If anything, your last statement was the one addressing a different issue.

LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The first time I've seen a manga address one of the biggest problems (at least in my head) in gay relationships. BEING LOOKED DOWN UPON IF YOU'RE A BOTTOM. Bottom or not, bottoms are still men and have their own pride, and bottoming doesn't make them less of a human. Periodt.
