Nah seriously. There are reasons for the Dukes actions and blah blah but the damage is done. No explaining can fix what he has done. "He couldn't show his love because her father threatened him" now imagine this a Duke threatening a Duke both with the same status. This just prove his own powerlessness and can't even protect his family. Maybe this the reason why he shouldn't even become a Duke cuz he got no balls and backbone just a wimp with power and not knowing how to use it
