uhhh im very far in the novel but not to the point where i learned of duke ergy’s reasons. i think i read a spoiler that he basically wants their empire to crumble lmao thats why he encouraged rashta’s behavior.... take what i say w a grain of salt haha but at least, heinley n navier will be happy together <3

So i read the novel i don't really remember the details but heinrey wanted war and they were going to kidnap Navier so he didn't love her at first, well he didn't even know her i guess, but he eventually developed feelings and his plan kinda flopped
