I'm aware of the age gap since the start and tried hard to ignore that to proceed with reading. What really bothers me is the fact Kousuke was the one kept being risky, feeling him up at school, proposition to make out and later sex was also him first. While Masahiro even have more decency when he's much younger, those made me cringe so much

I think its fucked up and problematic but it isn't pedophilia? Yes he's a teenager, but he's not a child (mentally, emotionally and physically teens are already different developed as children). In my opnion we should point out how predatory and problematic age gaps are but for me it can be compared with pedophilia. But again, it doesn't take out that kousuke groomed masahiro, and forced him to develop a sexual life that he wasn't ready to have.

Age of consent aside, the grooming is creepier. A better man would wait until Masa is out of school, atleast. Those teacher student relationships we see in manga are mostly persuaded by student to make it feel less awkward. But Kousuke active pursue Masa, a child, for sexual activities.

If people said bad things aboout our personality and looks, we would usually say "Dont look by its cover"

IKR! I watched the anime first cuz ppl kept recommending it to me and said it was very famous, and it's shounen-ai so ofc I see no reason not too.. I didn't know anything about any of the characters, so I thought it was about high school BL. And then I felt so uncomfortable about Kousuke being a teacher and was the one provoking the teen to confess his feelings.. And kiss him first at school! But in the end they just cuddled and nothing more so I was like, okay, I can ignore the prev advances but this guy literally not right as an adult.. Not just him, his friends who already knew yet brushed it off, that detective guy, also not right ffs, asking the teen that kinda question and then deduce everything is alright just cuz the feeling is mutual

First of all, yes love is love regardless of 'gender' Not 'age'. If the person is at least 20 or maybe 18 bottom line, engaging in a 'sexual' relationship with not his peers but someone wayyy elder to him that is legal, and it makes it more comfortable to read. Ngl, my brain filtered out Kousuke's age multiple times while reading this. Now, I think what this person was telling us is that 'this is all fiction'(yes, I'm using that card) and we should still support the author regardless because they make a living drawing and writing these mangas. (The rest were...debatable topics they wrote). There are many, many problems with this manga as the author tried putting a 'possessive troupe' on an adult man engaging with a minor which led to uncomfortable situations. Welp, I'm still gonna read it though cause I like the characters and the story line and I'm waiting for the impending drama lmao. Just remember to cast a line between fiction and reality. (=・ω・=)
