Apparently, ML actually liked MC even in the past life but then MC's father did something to spoil his daughter's reputation and in return ML ignored his wife. (Not a reasonable excuse actually I hate him, only Elle and his mom deserves love)
I also heard that Elle later learned about the death of his mother when he grew up and punished his father, Elle is also the one who turned back time but both his parents remembers the past and that's why time went back to when MC was pregnant

I also read from a comment that the ML really loves the MC but the MCs father allowed the marriage if the ML wont show his love to the MC. Regarding Elle, the MC only intends to separate them momentarily because of the MCs mental health but he went to war. Also, the MCs father is the reason why the MLs ex fiancé went and took care of Elle. By the time the war is finished, the ML realise that he was too late...I cant remember what part it was but according to the comment that the MCs father threatened the ML that he will kill the MC and Elle, I just cant remember for what reason though.....thats what ive read from a comment ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I don't think he loves her in the past, he only met her once in the glass house, and after that the FL father offered him the marriage and would support him to became the Duke with the condition not to fall in love with her and leave her suffering alone. Not to mention, the ML detached of any emotion cause of his tragic childhood, so more like he doesn't hate her, if he really does love her, would he just watch in the sidelines knowing the FL father intention to make her life miserable? I mean, he is a Duke for crying out loud, at least he has some power to protect her if he want to. And beside the ML only regretted everything after he is being confined and starved the same way the FL once been through and Elle spirit show him the FL suffering in that some room, and that's legit 15 years after FL death.
But dude still... the ml is lowkey annoying... I mean sweet and all that he’s being so sweet and loving towards the wife now but what’s so different about before and now? The only difference this time is that our home girl reina isn’t going for his ass...Really this man got the whole crowd shaking their heads. The author better give this man a good damn explanation about why he treated our girl like that.
