I can't say this for all readers here but for myself and hopefully some; I only come here to talk about what happened in the latest chapter of the manhwas I'm currently reading and interact with other people's opinion. I use Mangago as some kind of forum only. Yes, we all started here; I started with reading Bj Alex and Sign here and I'm very ashamed to say that, but I have already bought all chapters in Lezhin (This does not defend of me also being an illegal reader in the past) somehow I hope I redeemed myself for my past mistakes. All of the manhwas that I am currently reading and already read I have bought them on all official websites. So don't generalize everyone here sweetie ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I agree with you. Imho, purchasing all of the chapters has done more than redeem yourself. You paid for what you got ^.^
To be fair, this hasn't even been the first time this happened in this site. Except the suicidial part, a lot of authors already reported this site and did copyright strikes against it for illegally uploading. The hypocrite part I mentioned are mostly for the people that kept.saying the uploader was being disrespectful for still uploading despite all the notices, but still read or have used this site for reading other works that are illegally uploaded here. Don't get me wrong, I feel really bad after I read what happened to the author, but I feel I have no right because I am still using this site, but I won't mind if this site goes down permanently because that would be for the better. I hope that clarifies what I meant.
Generalizing was not my intention. I only meant this post for the people that kept calling out the uploader of Blind Play's latest chapter for being disrespectful and everything yet they still use or have used this site to read other works illegally. I applaud you for supporting those authors, I have also done the same but I still come here and still use this site to read other works I cannot legally buy. I am ashamed of that, of course, that's why I cannot and do not have the right to go against the uploader because I am still using this site. If anything, this site should just go down permanently to avoid these kinds of situations. I hope that clears things up.
Ahh, yes, this clarifies a lot! I understand what you mean. It's really disappointing to see this kind of behaviour. I admit that I've been illegally reading on Mangago for the past two years, and I'm more than willing to stop once all of this is over with. And if you can, please help us take this site down as well. Just sending an email can do a lot. Thank you for clarifying yourself ^.^
I empathize with the author, I hope they stay strong. But I feel it's unfair of me to be all "Oh nooo, don't upload this anymore, the last uploader really said not to and stated why, you are damn disrespectful and insensitive!" because I am still using this damn website. If anything, if you all want to support the author, you might as well support all the authors of the works that are illegally uploaded here and make this site go down permanently. Don't be a hypocrite because as long as you are using this site, you are not different from the uploader you call disrespectful and insensitive.
But most of you ain't ready to get called out.
