Shojo is usually popular with teens so I assume rebellious girls reading this like "bad boys". I don't completely understand it since I'm past my teens and I never liked this type...ever.

No...don’t know what info you’re getting. This is one of its kind. The genres with more rebellious teens are harem, ecchi, yaoi and yuri. I’m also past my teens but since I was a kid, I read Shoujo manga. The romance in Shoujo is more wholesome and fluffy compared to other romances. I’m telling you as a person who “does understand” so please don’t just make assumptions.
