I agree, it does take time to get over life long trauma. Even when you do get over it, if I’m not mistaken, you can still have relapses from time to time. So let’s give her time to build her confidence up and this beautiful flower shine.
Some of these characters are the same kind as her father. So.. No real hope of improvement.
That's no excuse for being stupid and mean towards her but, I think everybody just believes she was raised in a rich household by a good family. Remember her father fooled people, played the loving father, bla bla.. So she's SUPPOSED to know how to be a lady.

Agreed. And the thing is, I think she’s actually shown a lot of improvement already. The old Maxi could barely speak to others, let alone speak up in front of a crowd to defend her home, even after she was insulted. The old Maxi never even would have made it down to the castle walls. I’m really proud of her and perfectly ok with the rate of her growth so far. I think maybe the slow updates make it seem like she’s not growing so people are frustrated, but realistically she’s only been at the castle for a few months and that’s not nearly enough time to undo the lifelong mental and physical abuse she’s suffered.
I don't get why they hate the mc for having no improvement?? Bitch her father abused her for years, mentally and physically. Brainwashed her into thinking that she's useless and can't even have her own decision. Give her time, it can take years to recover from your trauma.
